University of central confusion as people call it because of the difficulties in academics has been rated above all the universities in Ghana and now one of the best university globally for research influence.
UCC is ranked number 1 university in west Africa, ranked among the top 5 universities in Africa, number 1 university globally for research influence and also number 1 out of the 138 new entrant universities in the world university rankings 2022.
The 2022 world university rankings include more than 1,600 universities across 99 countries and territories, making them the largest university rankings up till date.
For any university to be part of this world university rankings, the university must publish at least 1,000 papers in reputable publications in a five year period.
Universities are also excluded if they only teach a single subject area or they don’t lecture undergraduates.
