Ashanti police officers have grabbed two peple for involving in the sale of unwholesome rotten chicken.
According to Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA), one of their duty Environmental Health Officers stationed at Kejetia detected a rotten foul smell on friday evening.
Upon following up to where the smell was coming from, the officer saw a woman transporting a huge carton of chicken and insisted on inspecting.
After the inspection, the woman identified as abiba was transporting unwholesome chicken she bought from the market.
Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly say the environmental officer confiscated the product and led the woman to the environmental health unit where she was later handed over to the Police for further investigations.
The PRO for Kumasi Metropolitan Aseembly, Henrietta Afia Konadu Aboagye revealed to CitiTV News further probe revealed where Abiba bought the chicken from and that led to the arrest of one Kwadwo Asare.
The people responsible for this were kept overnight. The CID has told the public there will be a further investigations and after that, they will proceed to the court for further actions.
